Community carries many potential definitions. Community organizations, and diverse communities of all demographics, are welcome recipients for nutritional and lifestyle counseling. JasterHealth recruits consultants with cross-cultural experience, curiosity, and most importantly cross-cultural sensitivity. Dr. Jaster speaks regularly to various community organizations. Members often have shared experiences, beliefs, histories, support systems, and habits. Because trust and rapport often already exist within many groups, JasterHealth shared nutrition and lifestyle counseling can be even more effective when brought directly, and exclusively, to your community organization’s meeting place. Brent Jaster, MD, and Laura Wade Jaster (yoga instructor) have worked directly with American Indians and Alaskan Natives. In addition, Dr. Jaster has worked with Latino (El doctor habla español.), African American, Asian American, and other diverse communities. JasterHealth welcomes the opportunity to work with any self-identified community and does not discriminate. Dr. Jaster will work directly with religious communities that have specific food restrictions (Halaal, Kosher, vegetarian/vegan, etc.). Laura Jaster has studied Ayurvedic principles and dietary considerations. |
